Bloom

Carla Kjærgaard is a 22-year-old visual artist based in Aarhus and Amsterdam. She is currently studying fine arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She primarily works with oil paint, charcoal, and pastel for her paintings and drawings.

Carla's art explores the tension between human instinct and intellect, examining how much of our inner world is revealed or hidden. She expresses this conflict by blending human and animalistic elements, highlighting the dual nature of humans.
